Introduction
Welcome to my oracle card unboxing series! Today, I’m excited to share with you one of my personal favorites—Tree of Souls Healing Energy Card: Healing, Meditation & Divination. This is a deck that beautifully merges the spirituality of nature with inner awareness. Gentle yet powerful, it’s perfect for meditation, divination, and self-healing. Through this deck, we learn to consult the wisdom of nature, receiving inspiration and support from the energy of each tree to restore inner balance and love.
Deck Overview & Highlights
The Tree of Souls Oracle includes a total of 41 cards. Each one symbolizes a spiritually significant tree—such as Banyan, Pine, Cherry Blossom, Plum Blossom, and Camellia—plus one special card known as the Golden Tree, the energetic heart of the deck.
Every tree represents a unique healing quality and message, such as release, love, compassion, growth, or awakening. These cards help guide us back to the present moment and open a connection between our inner self and the universe.

So why 41 cards? The creator was inspired by the structure of the Incan Medicine Wheel, which is also comprised of 41 elements. This includes 40 cards representing commonly known trees, and 1 core card—the Golden Tree, which is the energetic origin from which all other tree cards draw their universal life force. The number 40 also symbolizes the rhythm and order of the four seasons, representing the natural cycles and transformations in life.
Guidebook & Card Interpretations
The deck comes with a 112-page guidebook, which includes 6 meditation card spreads suitable for beginners in personal healing work. It can also be used to support meditation practices or spiritual rituals.
Within the guidebook, you’ll find detailed descriptions of each tree—its unique energy, characteristics, and native environment. The author also adds deep annotations that not only explain each tree’s symbolic traits but also offer personal encouragement and healing guidance based on the tree’s message.
These annotations go beyond simple definitions; they show how each tree can help you understand your current emotional state and offer insights on how to move forward. From these messages, you may discover potential solutions to your current struggles or open up new ways of thinking and feeling.

About the Author: Cheng Li-erh (Prem Abha)
A literary writer and Reiki healer, Cheng Li-erh has over 20 years of experience in writing and publishing. She is also a Reiki master and spiritual teacher, deeply engaged in practices such as Ananda Marga yoga, Dharma Drum Zen, Sufi whirling, Vipassana, and Osho meditations. Her work beautifully blends spiritual cultivation with poetic writing, aiming to create a soul garden of healing and peace for all who seek inner calm and awakening.
The Concept & Design Behind the Deck
This Tree of Souls Oracle does not mimic the structure of Tarot or Osho Zen cards. Instead, it is rooted in natural spirituality and the cosmic Tree of Life. Each card is infused with Reiki energy by the author and illustrated in a heartfelt, hand-drawn style by artist Yu Shuyu—making every card feel like a serene spiritual painting.
The Golden Tree card (Card 0) symbolizes the universal source, the origin and mother of all energy. The other 40 tree cards represent the seasons, cycles of nature, and a wide range of soul qualities throughout life’s journey. This symbolic structure echoes the Incan Medicine Wheel and its respect for the laws of nature.
Symbolism and Healing Themes in the Tree Cards
Each tree carries deep spiritual meaning. For example:
- Cherry Blossom: Freedom and wholeheartedness – invites you to live boldly and bloom without fear.
- Paperbark Tree: Letting go and release – encourages emotional cleansing and healthy detachment.
- Apple Tree: Abundance and joy – represents fulfillment both materially and spiritually.
- Bodhi Tree: Awakening and awareness – perfect for meditation and enlightenment practices.
- Golden Tree: The ultimate pursuit – awakens the call to become your truest self.

A Closer Look: The Banyan Tree (Card 1)
Let’s take a closer look at Card 1: The Banyan Tree, whose keywords are compassion and protection.
The author begins by describing its natural characteristics. The banyan is a tree you can easily find around you—it’s commonly seen in many parts of the world. It is often massive and wide, with thick canopies that spread like an enormous umbrella, providing vast shelter and shade. This visual alone evokes a sense of protection and inclusiveness.
The banyan’s energy, the author suggests, is one of embracing all—open-hearted and nurturing. Its branches spread above with grandeur, while its roots dive deep beneath the earth, reflecting its ability to anchor and adapt in any kind of soil. This deep-rooted nature also symbolizes emotional stability and endurance.
In addition, the banyan is known for being resistant to wind and humidity and has a strong tolerance to air pollution. These features further contribute to its archetype of being a powerful guardian.
Through the banyan’s traits, you can feel its spiritual essence—teaching you how to hold space, offer protection, and embody emotional resilience in the face of life’s storms.
Author’s Insight on the Banyan Tree Card
In the second half of the interpretation, the author offers a heartfelt annotation for the Banyan Tree card. She explains that when you draw this card, it signifies that you are ready—you have grown strong and stable enough to become a source of protection. You are now capable of safeguarding the goodness within yourself, while also holding the willingness to protect and support others.
You’ve begun to accept all the happenings in life—the good and the bad, the right and the wrong. Like the Banyan Tree, you now possess the resilience to weather winds, endure humidity, and stand strong amidst life’s pollutants. You have the strength to embrace both the highs and lows that life brings.
Most importantly, the card brings messages of gentle encouragement. When someone seeks refuge under your shade—whether from rain or sun—you’ll find yourself naturally offering it. While in the past, this may have felt difficult, it now requires no effort at all.
Because once you see life clearly, gain insight into the truth of existence, and understand how the world really works, you begin to give not from duty, but from a place of pure devotion. This act of protection, of holding space, of unconditional acceptance—is itself a reward. It is love. You ask for nothing in return, because you have already attained the highest form of wealth—the divine value gifted by the universe.
All you need to do is relax and flow with nature. Like a Banyan Tree in the park, you can joyfully offer shade and shelter to everyone who passes beneath your branches—effortlessly.
Tree as Teacher: A Mirror of Your Current Path
Through this example, you can see how each card in the Tree of Souls Oracle is not just symbolic—it reflects the role a tree plays in the cosmos, and how its message can respond directly to your life challenges or inner questions. It offers both spiritual insight and practical inspiration.
In my own experience using this deck, I’ve found its language to be especially suitable for both self-healing and client readings. The interpretations are simple, clear, and emotionally resonant, making it easy for anyone—especially beginners or those on a healing journey—to connect the card’s wisdom to their own current state.

Usage Tips & Practical Example
The guidebook offers 6 sample spreads, and here are two of the most commonly used layouts:
1-Card Draw: Present-Moment Guidance
Focus your attention on the issue that is closest to your heart. Draw one card and let the message of the tree serve as your healing reminder for the day.
For example, if you draw Bamboo, it suggests that you are being invited to embody humility and a refreshed mindset—let go of attachment and reorganize your inner space.
3-Card Spread: Past – Present – Future
This layout is ideal for exploring a situation, relationship, or life direction. The cards provide insight into the journey and patterns that are unfolding. The included guidebook makes this method very accessible, even for beginners.
Additionally, the author offers ritual guidance to help you attune to the energy of the tree card you’ve drawn:
You may also carry the card with you or place it under your pillow for 21 consecutive days to allow its healing frequency to work on a deeper level.
Place the card on your heart chakra (chest area) for 3 to 5 minutes to deepen the connection.
